Don't worry, I'll get back to posting about weddings and love stories soon - but I couldn't stomach the thought of staying silent. ⁠ In the 80's (yes, the 1900s) I was raised on a heavy regiment of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, LOTR, Willow, Red Dawn, and so many more stories where I remember wondering (as a child) why more people didn't stand up against forces that are so obviously cruel. I also remember knowing in my little child heart that if I ever found myself in a situation like my favorite characters... that I wouldn't quietly sit by. So I owe lending my voice to every friend, couple, and neighbor whom I've never meet here and elsewhere. I also owe it to myself to honor that promise.⁠ So I'm off to tackle my to do list, which includes lots of wedding planning things AND calling all my elected officials. I shall hold onto my joy, my passion, my goofiness... and for sure my political rage. ⁠ Be safe out there. Love to all (except the bigots).
